We had a very positive meeting today ( September 2 2010) with the RDN. They seem to be on board with our area growing and are addressing our needs both for the Regional Park and the Community Park in the 2011 RDN Budget. We also addressed the Community Hall. The Board at the RDN has to approve everything, but we seem to have their support of the staff and that is half of the battle.
We should thank them on the website and let Residents know that there is lots of support from the RDN for our community growth in this area.
We have lots of work to do to get ready for our next meeting with the Minister of Transportation regarding the Highway Access, the AGM and now with supplying information to the RDN regarding our park requirements in time for them to present in the March 2011 Budget. Any help would be appreciated. Let your neighbours know of our progress and ask them if they would like to help. Talk up the AGM on October 2nd. The more support we have the more this area will receive.
For volunteers, some jobs are small and some jobs are large. They can pick.
